In business since 1975, San Marino Toy and Book Shoppe has served generations of children and their families in the San Gabriel Valley area of Southern California. The store is known for a very high level of customer service, curated but realistic product selection, and all the boutique extras you want in a small store experience. The store has always served school communities with in-store and on-site book fairs. In 2022, under new ownership, we have launched The San Marino Book Fair Company to provide schools with an all-inclusive approach to school fundraising with books. We believe that the importance of the tradition of the school book fair goes hand in hand with our mission to provide a quality shopping experience for all ages.
We bring your school educators, volunteers and community members together with our industry professionals to create a fuller book fair experience. As most seasoned parent teacher organization volunteers can tell you, you need to put the fun in fundraising, and that makes it a positive experience. Community engagement is part of the package in development, and it’s part of our mission in serving our customers. Our fairs, powered by an established and local small business, provide the hands-on customer service and special touches that corporate driven fairs cannot.
We can stock any book available through major publishers in the United States, so we carry everything from new releases to the classics for children. We order high-quality books with industry standard bindings, artwork, covers and details made to last- they are not special printing runs just for book fairs. Our inventory is inclusive, kind and mind-expanding. Please contact our team to chat more about how we can provide the right inventory for your community. We also provide a carefully selected group of products tailored to the size and style of your event. If you know your third graders have been loving board games, we can bring more in. If STEM kits are of special interest we can provide those. And while we do provide novelty items, it’s up to you if we bring them in our not.
Our process begins with you reaching out to our experienced book manager and team. We’d love to know the dates and details about your event. We are currently fully booked for in school events for Fall 2022 and have limited availability for in-store events.
